The spillover effect
Millions if not hundreds of millions of people were rendered useless by the companies as soon as the pandemic start to hit businesses around the globe. As transportation stopped and governments around the world imposed new restrictions such as lockdowns and everyone staying home, it became really hard to businesses to sustain, especially those that had just started to earn.
This caused strong ripples in the business world, which were enough to destroy the livelihood of billions around the globe, wave by wave. However, humankind is known for its resilience and that’s why in came the option of working from home. Companies and corporations found a way to keep their business going and they did so happily because it also helped them cut down on resource expenditure.
A hope for sustainability
For employees around the globe, it meant sustainability and a way to stay connected with their loved ones, staying safe, and providing for their families. A simple idea helped save billions of jobs but what does it mean for someone who has already lost job. It means an opportunity, a chance to keep going and a hope for work as this means that literally every job can be done while sitting at home and if someone at your company can do it then everyone can do it.

Can’t ignore the hygiene though
Though you know now about the jobs that you can do online but because we are still in the middle of a pandemic, we need to practice hygiene like always. Staying at home doesn’t mean that we are completely safe from germs. In order to make sure that no germs hurt us or our loved ones, we need to keep washing hands with bar soap and water for at least 20 seconds as recommended by centers for disease control and prevention (CDC).
Even when you are outside!
Whenever we are out and about where we don’t have access to hand washing stations, we should use a Dettol hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol in it, which is required to kill germs.
One should also carry an antibacterial spray with them and spray it across things or surfaces they find dirty. Though we can’t see microorganisms with our naked eyes but we can surely see the dust and grime and here you need to remember that often dust and grime comes with germs.
Make sure that you and your loved ones are following the guidelines properly because any negligence can prove to be really costly when all of our lives are at stake. One of the motives behind work from home is to keep the employers and employees safe from the novel coronavirus by breaking the chain of infection but if you aren’t concerned about hygiene and instructions, and then you shouldn’t also advocate for work from home.
