Conclusion
Designing for different social media platforms is always a fun challenge. It requires you to rethink your designs in order to consider the limitations of each platform. I feel that designing for Instagram falls somewhere between designing for Twitter and Facebook. When designing for Twitter, you have to consider its character limits and other technical specifications. On the other hand, when you design for Facebook, you have more room to be creative since you don’t have a character limit on your posts. Both of these platforms are well-known across the globe. Most people would recognize them with just one glance.
However, Instagram is a little different story. It’s not as globally recognized yet. Although it is well-known within the artistic community and those interested in fashion or art photography; most people do not understand how it works or how to use it. So when coming up with my designs I tried to keep this in mind by creating emotive images that could attract users who are interested in photography without overcomplicating things by putting too much information into one image.
