Apart from Sylhet Sadar and Companiganj, the houses of people in several areas including Gowainghat, Jaintapur and Kanaighat bordering Meghalaya are now flooded.
The flood situation is so dire that saving lives is more important than relief.

Sunamganj is the birthplace of actress Shabnam Faria. So the disaster there is also hurting the actress. He shared the trouble on his Facebook page. Shabnam Faria wrote, ‘Sunamganj is my birthplace! Meanwhile, the Sylhet-Sunamganj road was submerged and Sunamganj lost contact with the rest of the country.
