Frankenstein Drawing

How to Draw Frankenstein. For as long as humans have been on earth, we have often entertained ourselves with stories and tales.

Also, check our unicorn coloring page.

Often these stories can take the form of scary stories to make the shadows in the corner of the room seem a little scarier.

Some of these scary tales have become household names, and Frankenstein has terrorized people since his Mary Shelley book debut in 1818.

By learning to draw Frankenstein, you can recreate this horror icon! By the end of this guide, you will know exactly how to do it.

How to Draw Frankenstein

Step 1

In this Frankenstein drawing guide, we will draw the monster’s head. First of all, we must understand that this isn’t Frankenstein. It’s Frankenstein’s monster since there’s always that one person pointing it out.

While that may be true, we’ll still refer to him as Frankenstein in this guide for simplicity. To start this guide, let’s start with the eyes and nose for him.

We’re going to use some very thick lines for the details of this design, as this will help give the image a more stylized feel.

With that in mind, we’ll use some slightly diagonal lines for the tops of his eyes to give him a sad look.

We’ll add some thinner lines underneath with a thick shape above connecting them.

Finally, we’ll use a smoother straight line with bold points for his nose.

Step 2

In this second part of your Frankenstein drawing, we will add some details to the face.

First, use more lines and dots for a mirror image of the first half of the nose you started in the previous step.

So we’ll use a thick, curved line for his mouth, with lines radiating from it.

Finally, we can draw her rounded cheekbones and some line detail around her mouth. Then you are ready for step 3 of this guide!

Step 3

It’s time to start outlining his face in this step of our Frankenstein drawing guide. We’ll use thicker, rounded lines around the eyes and cheekbones.

Then you can extend some straighter lines downwards, which turn into more rounded lines for the lower part of the face.

This is how we get rounder lines for the chin at the bottom of the face. First, before we move on, we can add minor line detail all over the face to finish it.

Step 4

Two of Frankenstein’s most recognizable aspects are the dots near his head and the metal screws in his neck.

We will draw these two aspects in this phase of your Frankenstein drawing. First, draw thick, wavy lines that extend from the cheekbones to the sides of the parting.

Next, let’s draw a horizontal line with small vertical rectangle shapes for the seam inside his head.

You can then use more rounded lines for his ears and extend curved lines from the bottom of his head for his neck.

Finally, draw small square shapes on the sides of his neck for the studs. Then, we need to add a few final details in the next step!

Step 5

This part of our how to draw Frankenstein guide covers the final details before you start coloring.

Draw A Frankenstein

The main thing we will focus on in this step is her hair and the top of her head.

Frankenstein is also known for having a flat head, and we’ll portray him with this look.

First, use some ragged lines for the top of her head and then some spicier lines underneath for her short bangs that stand out.

Once you’ve drawn this hairstyle, you’re drawn! You can also draw other parts and elements to give us a personal touch.

You could draw more of his neck and body or create a background to show where he is.

Step 6

Now it’s time to have some coloring fun for this final step of your Frankenstein drawing! We settled on a green color scheme for her skin, a common color associated with the character.
