Rumeli has played four Tests, six ODIs and 18 T20I matches for India. “My cricket career started from Shyamnagar in West Bengal,” he wrote on Instagram on Wednesday. I got up from there and played for India. This time it’s time to say goodbye to cricket. Retiring from all forms of cricket. There were many ups and downs in the whole journey. Playing for the Indian women’s team, the 2005 World Cup final, the rise of the Indian team as it was, one injury after another hampered my career. I would like to thank my family, BCCI, friends, all the state bodies for which I played cricket. I learned from the matches I played. The end of my cricket career, I will be associated with the game. I will try to bring up young cricketers. My goal is to give something back to cricket. ‘

The Bengal all-rounder made his debut for India in 2003. On the international stage, Rumeli collected 1326 runs and took 64 wickets. He last played for India in 2016. He has a 15-year international career. In domestic cricket, he has played for Bengal, Railways, Air India, Delhi, Rajasthan and Assam.

At one time, Rumeli used to open bowling with another Bengal fast bowler Jhulan Goswami. After Mitali Raj, another woman cricketer retired.
