Vivo X9 Plus is expected to launch on April 10, 2017. However, before the launching of this device only, it has been much in the limelight which shows the interest of the Vivo lovers in this device.  The device is manufactured by the Chinese smartphone manufacturing giant Vivo, as people know. This device will be availed with the latest version of the Android,which is Android 6 (Marshmallow) and will certainly get an upgrade to Android 7 (Nougat). It will be a dual-SIMdevice, and both the SIM should be GSM type. The device supports only nano SIM cards with network connectivity support of 4G (Indian bands), 3G and 2G. The device supports fingerprint sensor and fast charging.

Design and Display

The dimensions of this device are 162(H) x 79(W) x 7.4(T) mm. It weighs 199 grams which is pretty much heavier as compared to other devices. The build material of casing and back is metal, and the color variant available is only Rose Gold. This device sports 5.8 inches (14.73cms) display with Full HD screen resolution (i.e. 1080 x 1920 pixels). The pixel density of this device is 380 pixels per inch (PPI). It is a super AMOLED type display with capacitive touch support with 10-point multi-touch. The ration for Screen to the body of this device is 72.29%.

Performance and Storage

Vivo X9 Plus performs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 MSM8976 Pro. It is an octa-core processor with quad-core Cortex A72 chip clocked at 1.95GHz and another quad-core Cortex A53 chip clocked at 1.44GHz. This processor has a 64bit architecture which is provided for faster data manipulation. This device supports high-end graphics on android games because it has the Adreno 510 Graphics Unit Performance (GPU). The device is also backed by 6GB RAM which helps in easier and faster multi-tasking. It has 128GB on board memory, and there is no external SD card slot provided. Out of 128GB owner can use 117-118GB memory considering the rest occupied by system OS and system apps.

Camera

Vivo X9 Plus is a dual camera device with one camera on the rear side and the other one on the front side. The rear camera also referred as theprimary camera is 16MP. The primary camera is enabled with PDAF and has an aperture 2.0F with a dual LED flash. With the LED flash one can capture real bright snaps even in the low light mode or at night. Images captured by theprimary camera has the resolution of 4616 x 3464 pixels. The camera doesn’t support manual shooting mode except that one can adjust the exposure compensation and ISO which can be found in the settings option. Normally the camera opens up in continuous shooting mode, but high-quality images can be captured by enabling the High Dynamic Range (HDR) mode. The rear camera has afeature like autofocus, digital zoom and face detection. Secondary camera or front camera is a Dual Lens camera with 20MP + 8MP dual lens. Aperture on the front camera is 2.0F. Brightest selfies with widest possible angle can be captured on the front camera.

Battery

The device is powered by 4000mAh battery and is Li-Polymer type. The battery on this device cannot be replaced by the user. It is a non-removable type battery sealed on the back side of the device. This device supports fast charge which means theuser can charge the battery up to a day’s battery life in time lesser than an hour.

Connectivity and Network

Vivo X9 Plus is a dual SIM device. The supported SIM type is GSM and supported SIM size is nano. This device supports networks including 4G or LTE(Indian bands), 3G (HSUPA) and 2G. It is to be noted that only SIM slot 1 is 4G and 3G enabled, and SIM slot 2 supports only 2. This device supports Wi-Fi according to the Wi-Fi standards 802.11, b/g/n/n at 5GHz. The user can also use this device as a portable hot-spot for sharing personal data. Bluetooth version on this device is v4.2 which has better transfer rate than conventional versions of Bluetooth. One can also navigate in the remote areas by using inbuilt GPS on this device. The device can be charged using a microUSB v2.0 port and the same can be used to transfer data to desktop and laptop. The device has a 3.5mm headphone jack and is enabled with afingerprint sensor as an extra layer of security. The fingerprint sensor on this device is mounted on the front side. Moreover, the device has other sensors like light, proximity, and accelerometer.

Verdict

Vivo X9 Plus price in Indiais, as per experts,  expected to be around 25k-30k. With the specified features, one can definitely go for the device. Waiting for some other device is not suggested so buy this when it gets launched.
