That’s true, but there’s a catch. When the wolf kills and eats its prey, it also absorbs parts of plants through its stomach and innards that have previously eaten the prey.
The wolf is also dependent on these plant parts for its own health. If you feed your dog only meat in the medium term, malnutrition is the result.
The dogs depend on the nutrients from plant fibers and plant parts. They need these mainly for their own intestinal motor skills and intestinal flora.
Accordingly, dog food with a high meat content is quite recommended, but it must also contain plant components.
Advantages and disadvantages of ready-to-eat feed compared to barf
