Everything in the device is made of ceramic – front, rear and buttons as well. The back is glossy and slippery and is prone to fingerprints. But, with a case, this won’t be a problem. It has the dimensions of 158.8 (H) x 81.9 (W) x 7.9 (T) mm and weighs 209 grams, which is quite heavy.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix packs a 6.4-inch edge to edge display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2040 pixels. The display is spectacular with a pixel density of 361 PPI. It uses IPS LCD display and is protected by screen protection. Though we would suggest, you should use a screen protector. The screen to body ratio is 84.07% which is amazing. This device has a very good display panel with superb contrast. The only bad thing is the outdoor display is average.
The front of the device is completely different from the rest of the phones. There is nothing above the display. There is no proximity sensor either. It uses sonar technology to detect your face. The LED notification light and the front 5MP camera lie below the display. The volume key and power key, which are made of ceramic, lie on the right side of the device. The left side of the device has the dual nano SIM slot. There is no SD card slot in this device. The top of the device houses the 3.5mm jack and the bottom has USB type C port at the bottom.
The back cover of the device is non-removable and features a 16MP rear camera with LED flash next to it. The round fingerprint sensor lies below the camera. The back cover is reflective and is prone to fingerprints.

Xiaomi Mi Mix fuelled by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 MSM8996 Pro chipset, which gives better power efficiency and high performance. Xiaomi Mi Mix runs on Quad core 2.35 GHz processor and uses 4 GB RAM. For graphics, it uses the latest Adreno 530 GPU.
Software:
Xiaomi Mi Mix runs on Marshmallow (Android 6.0) with its own MIUI on top. It uses the latest MIUI 8. It is a highly customizable operating system and comes with dual space and dual apps, which means you can create two separate instances of the app. There is no app drawer in this phone, and it supports many themes like all Xiaomi phones.
Camera:
For photography, Xiaomi Mi Mix comes with a 16MP rear camera with CMOS image sensor for taking sharp and clear pictures. It also has phase detection auto-focus and dual-colour LED flash. It has an aperture of 2.0 f and the maximum image resolution of 3840 x 2160 Pixels. This device lacks optical image stabilization but has the usual features like Panorama, Burst Shooting, and HDR.
