2 Medanos de Coro National Park 

Medanos de Coro National Park is famous for its sand dunes, which are unusual for a tropical country. Some of the dunes reach 40 metres in height and are coloured yellow and orange. 3 The Andes

Most people associate Venezuela with sun and sand, so it’s worth noting that it also has a 400-kilometer stretch of snow-capped Andes Mountains. Pico Bolivar, the country’s highest point, is just over 5,000 metres high. Don’t dismiss the area if trekking through high passes isn’t for you. 4 Los Llanos

5 Mount Roraima

Mount Roraima has a flat tabletop that feels otherworldly at an elevation of nearly 3,000 metres. It is the main attraction of Canaima National Park, which is mostly in Venezuela but also in Guyana and Brazil. The summit hike usually takes two days. These geological formations have been around for two billion years. Mount Roraima, home to rare animals and birds, was the inspiration for Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s The Lost World. The mountain is prominent in many Venezuelan folklores due to its uniqueness.

6 Henri Pittier

This is the country’s first national park. Its claim to fame is birdlife, and with over 500 species, it’s no surprise. Henri Pittier, who came to the country in the early twentieth century and worked to classify over 30,000 plants, inspired the name. He is also one of the architects of Venezuela’s national park system. The park has beautiful beaches, bays, mountains, and a few resorts. There is plenty of room for diving, swimming, and sunbathing.
