One of the oldest companies, Motorola, which once was no longer in the smartphone market has regained its position. It is one of the companies, which have a strong user base in the Indian market due to its amazing build quality. Moto premium phones come with Moto Mods, which allow you to enhance your phone with external battery and loudspeaker.
Design and Display
Moto Z Force is a bigger version of Moto Z with bigger battery and camera. Moto Z Force will give a tough competition to Samsung Galaxy S7 Active. Moto Z Force is splash resistant phone and also a shatter proof device. Moto Z Force comes with a 5.5-inch screen with the dimensions of 153.3 (H) x 75.3 (W) x 5.1 (T) mm. It is a very thin smartphone and weighs only 136 grams. It will be available in two colours – black and gold.
Moto Z Force features a QHD (2k) display with a 5.5-inch screen. It comes with a screen resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and has one of the best pixel densities of 534 PPI. It uses AMOLED display type and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. The display shows more vivid colours and has better outdoor legibility and more power efficiency. Moto Z force has an excellent screen.
The area above the display has the 5MP camera on the left side, and the LED flash on the right side. In between these two, there is an earpiece which also acts as the loudspeaker. The area below the display has a fingerprint sensor. It uses on-screen navigation buttons. The power key and volume keys lie on the right side of the phone. There is nothing on the left side. The top houses the SIM/card tray. At the bottom is the USB Type C connector. There is no 3.5 mm jack in this phone. You have to use USB headphones with this device.
The back of the phone is interesting as it comes with a Style shell cover which is made of faux wood. Also, the back of MOTO Z force features MOTO Mod which allows you to either connect a battery module, projector, or a speaker module. It has 16 pins on its back to connect these three modules. It is a very interesting feature of this device. The back of the phone also houses a 21MP rear camera and a LED flash in the same circular module. The back plate of the device also features a pin-striped pattern.
Performance:
This device uses latest chipset i.e. Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 MSM8996 chipset. It is powered by Quad core 2.15 GHz processor and runs on 4 B RAM. Graphics are handled by Adreno 530 GPU.
Software:
Moto Z Force runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with Moto Enhancements like Moto Voice, Moto Display, and Moto Actions. The app drawer is present and scrolls vertically
Camera:
Moto Z Force equipped with an amazing 21MP rear camera. It has impressive features of Laser autofocus and Optical Image stabilization, which most of the devices lack. It has an aperture of 1.8 f and gives the maximum image resolution of 5288 x 3968 Pixels. It also features a Dual-color LED Flash.
This phone has exposure compensation, ISO control, phase detection autofocus, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, Panorama, etc. You can record 4k videos at 3840×2160 @ 30 fps, 1920×1080 @ 60 fps with this phone.
The front camera is very less as compared to other devices. It comes with a 5MP camera with an aperture of 2.2 f. It also has LED flash.
Storage:
Moto Z Force has an internal memory of 32 GB, which is less as compared to other phones. But the memory is expandable up to 2TB which is quite huge.
Battery:
Moto Z Force is powered by 3,500mAh li-ion non-removable battery. This phone comes with a turbocharger that doesn’t have a removable cable. The wall charger and the cable form a single unit which means you will have to find another cable to connect it to the computer.
Connectivity:
Moto Z Force is a single SIM device which supports 4G/3G/2G. Unfortunately, it doesn’t support 4G bands in India. Connectivity includes NFC among other usual connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, but it lacks FM radio.

Moto Z Force price in India is projected to be Rs39990.
The Verdict:
Moto Z is a compact and comfortable device with superb build quality. It also has a thin and light body. Overall, it is an amazing phone with impressive display and powerful performance. Moto Mods, though are very costly, yet they are very useful and be used with Moto Z’s successor(s) next year. The only drawbacks are the lack of dual SIM and 3.5mm jack and also there is no USB transfer cable included.
