Introduction:

The Bhrigu lake trek is a moderately difficult trek that can be done in 1 to 4 days. This is an ideal trekking destination and is perfect for adventure seekers. At 14,000 feet, the Bhrigu lake trek is located. The breathtaking Dhauladhar range and the Pir manual range can be seen from the top of the lake. According to Hindu mythology, Maharishi Bhrigu used to meditate at this spot. Named after the saint, the lake was named for him. You can see the incredible meadows, which are completely covered by the trekking tail. Distance between Manali and Bhrigu Lake: 22 km The Alpine meadows are breathtaking from 11,000 feet. Before planning a high-altitude trek, it is important to make sure you have checked your health.

This amazing and captivating bhrigu lake trekking is best done between the middle of May and the middle of October. This place can be visited even after August. The night temperature in summer can be between 6-8 degrees Celsius and 22-25 degrees Celsius.

How to Reach Manali

Pathankot is the nearest railway station to Manali. You can take a bus directly to Manali, which is 300km from the railway station once you have arrived. The airport in Bhuntar is the closest one to Manali. You can fly to Bhuntar airport, but it will cost you a lot so be aware. You can either take a taxi to the airport or travel by bus to Manali.

You can travel by both government and private buses to Delhi or Chandigarh. This route can also be used to transport overnight buses between these two cities. The distance from Delhi to Manali takes 14 hours by road, while the distance between Chandigarh and Manali takes 10 hours.

This trek is not open to children under 7 years of age. Always bring snacks and dry fruits with you on this trek. You should always have 2 liters of water with you to keep yourself hydrated throughout the day.

Trekking Itinerary

Day 1

City trekkers must register for the trek after arriving in Manali. Do not start your trek the same day. Take some time to rest at the camp, then drop your bags at the base camp. You can also explore the Hidimba Devi Temple, which is surrounded by long deodar trees. To feel spirituality, you can also visit the Jogini waterfalls and Manu Temple. The Mall Road is a great place to stop by for a delicious meal and some coffee. Stay overnight in Manali after enjoying the entire day. 

Day 2

After having your breakfast, you will need to check out of the hotel. From Manali, you will need to drive to Gulaba, the base village from which your trek starts. Roli Kholi is the first site you will see when you leave Gulaba. Beautiful forests can be found while trekking toward Gulab. You will need to spend the night at Campsite Roli Kholi after arriving. You can also see the great Himalayas, including the Seven Sisters and Hanuman Tibba.

Day 3

The third day will be exciting, thrilling, and mesmerizing. The stunning sunrise will amaze you if you wake up early in the morning. Enjoy the stunning sunrise while you eat breakfast. You will need to travel towards Roli Kholi in order to reach the Bhrigu lake. It takes approximately 3 hours to reach Bhrigu Lake from Roli Kholi. You will pass some plateaus and high-green ridges along the trail. These ridges will lead you to the stunning Bhrigu lake. Spend some time at the lake and take photos. You will then need to return to Roli Kholi. Stay overnight at Roli Kholi after you have reached it.

Day 4

Today, you will trek to Gulaba, the base village. This is the end of the adventurous Bhrigu lake trekking. After having your breakfast, you will need to descend towards Kulang village. It is a moderately easy descent that takes about 3.5 to 4 hours. You can rent a car from Kulang village to get back to Manali.
