Zodiac

Only several things count as the biggest mysteries in this world, and the Zodiac Killer happens to be one of them. It almost seems like a fictional story the way this killer has never been caught. And if you don’t know who we are talking about, then it’s about time you stop living under that rock with Patrick and watch the movie (after you’ve finished reading this, of course).

The Zodiac Killer is the pseudonym given to the unidentified serial killer that operated in Northern California from the late 1960s to the early ‘70s.

Zodiac, which was directed by David Fincher, was based on the 1986 novel by Robert Graysmith. This movie recounts the mysterious killings that littered the San Francisco Bay Area. Not only does it recall these things, but it also captures the expert tactics used by the Zodiac Killer at that time. Watching this movie, you are truly transported to that time as you witness the roadblocks and dead-ends the police constantly had to face.

Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile

We’re sure you have all heard more than a few things about Ted Bundy, the infamous serial killer based in America. He is known as the “charming killer” or “charismatic killer” due to his handsome looks. After all, that was how he was able to lure in girls to kill and mutilate them later on. In this movie, we see things mostly from the perspective of Liz Kendall, a single mother, and Ted Bundy’s girlfriend at the time of his arrest.

The movie has perfectly managed to capture the charm and confidence of the killer. Zac Efron plays Ted Bundy and you can just tell that he puts everything into his role and plays the perfect narcissistic serial killer.

My Friend Dahmer

Jeffrey Dahmer is one of the most infamous serial killers of all time and we’re not surprised why. Not only was he a serial killer, but he was a cannibal that sometimes ate his victims too. Undoubtedly, it’s saddening and scary to see how ugly humanity can become when pushed to it or left to its own means, in this case. My Friend Dahmer, directed by Marc Lynch, was inspired by John Backderf’s graphic novel published in 2012.

The interesting thing about this is that John Backderf is not just an interesting and talented storyteller and novelist, but he was also Jeffrey Dahmer’s real-life school friend. The movie captures the strange character and unfortunate life of Jeffrey very well. Since the movie is taking place before Jeffrey started to kill, we get an insight into what led him to become the way he was.

Bringing Everything to an End

There’s no doubt that all of these things can be very triggering and traumatizing considering that these people are possibly the worst of humanity, however, it is a reality that we can’t escape. It is also ironically interesting to see how their minds work and how they are able to get away with all of it for so long. As long as that’s the only reason you’re watching it, go right ahead!
